The ultra-lock, like our other internal locks, is slightly different to avoid a child learning how to open and use locks and latches via observation and imitation. The ultra-lock not only has to be pushed down to open, but also to close, preventing children from hurting their fingers and getting them caught in drawers or cabinets.
